Urfa Gate, the western gate of Diyarbakır Fortress, was built by Artukid Ruler Karaarslan Artukoğlu Muhammed. Estimated to have been constructed between 1183 and 1184, this magnificent structure is adorned with stone-carved human and animal reliefs.
